Akshay Kumar’s unbuttoning act landed himself and wife Twinkle Khanna in trouble. Twinkle Khanna, was arrested by the Vakola police and later on released on a cash bail of Rs 950 late on Wednesday for allegedly obscene behaviour at the Lakme Fashion Show.
Twinkle surrendered on her own. She was accompanied by her lawyer Bhairav Choudhary. Knowing that Twinkle was inside the police station, a huge crowd gathered there. Twinkle remained inside the police station for around two hours. Twinkle also informed the police about Akshay kuamr. He is returning back to India by the end of this week. Akshay too will appear before the cops to complete the legal formalities.
According to assistant commissioner of police (Vakola division) Arvind Mahabdi, ‘‘It was a bailable offence and we released her on a bail of Rs 950 at the police station itself. We are now waiting for Akshay.’’
Akshay is not the first actor to be held for obscenity. Earlier Madhu Sapre and Milind Soman were also booked under the same act for Tuff shoe ads. The case is still pending in the court.
Pooja Bhatt was held accountable for obscenity for her film Rog. Shilpa Shetty, Reema Sen and Mallika Sherawat too were booked for the obscenity act.
