Now that’s what you call twosome or made for each other or better still, if by chance you know Hindi, they call it as Ram Milaye Jodi.

One is a film personality, who does everything but making films that you and I can ever understand and the other is an active politician, who does everything apart from what the politicians in India are known to do.

The evergreen Dev Anand has decided to cast the General Secretary of Samajwadi Party Amar Singh in his forthcoming directorial venture Charge Sheet.

Amar Singh will be seen in the character of Home Minister of India in this film. Revealing that Amar Singh was his natural choice for the role, Dev Anand said, “Amar Singh is playing the role of Home Minister of India. It would be correct if a Home Minister would do politics. Because I know him as a friend, he was easily accessible to me and I approached him.”

Needless to say, Amar Singh, who never misses a chance to face and smile in front of a camera, was overjoyed by the offer. In his true style he not only looked humbled but used this opportunity to gain some political mileage from it as well by saying, “It’s my privilege that Dev Saab asked me for this favor and I simply agreed to it. Till date I haven’t become any minister and I never wanted to become one. In fact, I never thought of becoming the Home Minister. So no matter whether it’s just in the film.”

To make Amar Singh feel more comfortable in his role, Dev Anand will begin shooting for the film in Amar Singh’s house, once the general elections are over. Its good that Dev Sahab thought of Amar Singh’s comfort. But Dev Sahab, when will you think of the comfort of your audiences who while watching his films, feel as if they are getting tortured for the past so many years now?
