Priyanka and Aishwarya
“I feel happy and honored to be in the counted in the same list as the likes of ‘THE BEAUTIFUL AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN and Kajol”, said Priyanka Chopra as she received the Filmfare Award for the best Actress for the year 2008 for her role in Fashion.
If Priyanka thought that by these comments she is actually trying to praise and impress the likes of Aish or Kajol and making her level best attempt to be humble despite being declared the winner, she needs to rethink.
Priyanka might be shocked to know that contrary to her understanding, both Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek are said to be highly upset and feel that by her comments Priyanka has actually insulted Aishwarya.
No, it isn’t as if, the Bachchans don’t acknowledge the fact that Aish is beautiful, but they feel that by calling her so, Priyanka tried to indicate that Aish is known only for her beauty and not for her acting capabilities. They feel that had Priyanka wanted to be in Aish’s company due to her acting skills, it would be more appreopriate.
Not only the Bachchans but even their well-wishers are said to be upset with Priyanka. A close friend of the Bachchans, while speaking on the condition of anonymity said, “Priyanka should have chosen her words carefully. How can Priyanka sideline Aishwarya’s acting abilities?”
Poor Priyanka. She must have been terrified hearing this. She will definitely try to keep distance from the Bachchans at least till the time the controversy and anger of the Bachchans dips down a bit.
