Judges of Miss India Contest
Though the first three months of 2009 haven’t been very encouraging for Bollywood, with many big films like Chandni Chowk To China, Billoo, 13B and others falling flat at the Box Office, it seems that the popularity of Bollywood stars still remains intact. This is evident with the increase in number of Bollywood stars gracing and making friendly appearances in the fashion related events off late and making these events talk of the town.
After many Stars including Shahrukh Kha, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Rahul Bose, Deepika Padukone and others walking down the ramp in Lakme fashion week, Bollywood stars were again seen in full swing adding the glamour element to another big fashion event of the year, Famina Miss India. While the event was hosted by two Bollywood stars Malaika Arora Khan and Madhavan, it also had former Miss World Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut performing on the occasion. Alongside, the event also saw Genelia D’Souza of the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na fame also taking to the stage. Other Bollywood personalities present at the occasion included Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, Deepika Padukone Asin, Ajay Devgan, Ravi Kishen and director Madur Bhandarkar, who were all part of the jury.
Since, such appearances help both the event organizers and the Bollywood stars in getting free publicity, no one seems to be complaining.
Well, it seems that in times when their films aren’t helping to keep them in news in anyway, these events have come as an easy rescue to keep these stars in news.
