Many Bollywood stars are going to perform at this year’s IPL awards.
Celebrities of the two favorite entertainment industries in India namely Bollywood and cricket will come together once again when many stars from the Hindi film industry will perform at this year’s IPL cricket award function.
The awards evening, which will honor the best players of this year’s IPL cricket tournament, is going to be hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar and will see the performances of many Bollywood personalities like A.R. Rahman, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan, all of whom will perform on this prestigious night.
Authorities of a Television channel, which is going to be covering this special event to be held at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai April 23, said, “It will be one of its kind event and fitting celebration with lots of exciting performances and brilliant surprises to conclude this year’s IPL action.”
Announcing the decision to hold this star-studded award function to honor the best IPL players of season 3, the IPL chairman Lalit Modi said that by bringing the cricket and \Bollywood stars together at this function, the organizers want to stress the point that whether it is on or off the field, IPL is all about entertainment.
Modi added that many cricketers may also shake a leg and perform at the award function.
With many Bollywood stars getting ready to perform at this year’s IPL awards function; this is going to be a role reversal of sorts. Earlier, Bollywood stars cheered while cricketing legends performed on the field and now the cricketing stars will clap at the live stage performances of the Bollywood stars. Of course, for common men like you and me sitting in front of the Television sets, it is entertainment both ways.
