Bollywood to Venture into Gay Love Making

by admin on December 10, 2009

Bollywood is all set to venture into gay loving-making, with a number of films being made on the subject.

After two films New York and Jail, where Bollywood actors went bare, the producers in the Hindi Film industry are said to working on two films, which will showcase the issue of gay love-making.

Though, in the recent past many film makers in Bollywood have tried to deal with male love-making in films like Fashion, which allegedly had a scene of male kissing another male and Dostana, which promoted the theme of gay despite the fact that it was not a film that actually talked of love between two males, it now seems that Bollywood is going all out to make films on the issue of gay love.

After Karan Johar announcing that he is planning to make the sequel of Dostana, which unlike the earlier film will have a gay couple and not two men ‘pretending’ to be gay, another Bollywood producer Onir plans make a film, where he will not only have two men loving but also kissing each-other on the screen.

Whereas Bollywood lovers may feel that they are not ready for a film on the issue of gay-loving itself, isn’t Onir taking a big risk by going a step further and filming a kissing scene between two men in his film I Am Omar, starring Rahul Bose and Arjun Mathur? Not really feels Onir as he says, “It may create a little sensation but it is necessary because the film doesn’t work without it.”

Onir adds that he is not having any difficulty in filming these difficult scenes because his actors are highly professionals and take such scenes as a part of their work.

Though Bollywood is venturing on the subject of gay love making, with a number of films highlighting the issue, it yet to be seen if the viewers are ready for it? After all, you don’t want these films to go the Fire way, which faced stiff opposition due to lesbian scenes.
