Bollywood lead lady Deepika Padukone was in a rare company recently when she was invited to the Prime Minister’s residence for a dinner.
Deepika Padukone was pleasantly surprised recently when she received an invitation from the Prime Minister’s residence to attend a very special dinner hosted by Manmohan Singh.
Surely, considering that Deepika is a big name in Bollywood now, it may not surprise many if she is invited by the Prime Minister’s office to attend any event which concerns the Hindi Film Industry. But, since Deepika was the only Bollywood personality present at this dinner, which apart from the Prime Minister and his wife was attended only by some distinguish personalities including Sonia Gandhi, the union council of ministers and some high level foreign dignitaries, everyone naturally wondered what was she doing there?
It was later discovered that at this special dinner, which the Prime Minister had hosted for the visiting Japanese Prime Minister, Deepika had been invited at the special request of the Japanese Prime Minister’s wife, who is said to be a big fan of the Bollywood leading lady.
Deepika of course felt that it was a great honor for her to be in the company of such distinguish personalities. “It is a privilege and honor for someone like me to be invited for this dinner. I was both excited and nervous at the same time.”
Being invited for a dinner at the Prime Minister residence, where she was in the rare company of distinguish personalities, was certainly a special occasion for Deepika. But, if you think being a part of such august gathering took a toll on the Bollywood lady, you are wrong. The kind of style, grace and allegiance with which the leading lady of Bollywood presented herself at the dinner, showed what a fine actress Deepika actually is and took many by surprise.
