Deepika Padukone was at loggerheads with producer Ramesh Taurani over Race 2. After shooting for six days, deepika Padukone left Race 2 for a Rajinikanth’s film. Ramesh Taurani didn’t like it a bit and slapped a legal notice to Deepika Padukone through CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association).
Deepika Padukone was approached by CINTAA general secretary Dharmesh Tiwari. It is being said that he advised Deepika Padukone to reach at an agreement with producer of Race 2 Ramesh Taurani. Deepika Padukone heeded his advice and after several rounds of negotiations She agreed to re-enter Race 2.
Ramesh Taurani was in a full fledged confrontation mode with Deepika Padukone. He wanted to slap a huge monitory fine on Deepika Padukone for leaving Race 2. Deepika Padukone might paid heed to the advice of her near and dear ones and decided to work in the Race 2 again on her own terms and conditions.
Dharmesh Tiwari told a leading English daily, “There is no final settlement yet. Deepika has spoken to me. I met her on Wednesday. But yes, we expect this fight to end in the next 48 hours.”
A friend of Deepika Padukone told about the terms and conditions which she wanted from producer Ramesh Taurani. The friend says, “Deepika has five points of concern. If the producers of Race 2 are interested in having her back on board, they will have to look into the conditions. Now the ball is in their court.”
Deepika Padukone doesn’t want to allot fresh dates to Ramesh Taurani’s Race 2. She is busy with Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan and Jawaani Diwani with Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika Padukone also wants her own designers, hair stylist and makeup artist. Another thing that Deepika likes is open channels of communication with director and producer. Deepika Padukone wants one month notice, if Race 2 has to be shot abroad.
It seems the star cast of Race 2 is back on the track now. All is well if end is well.
