Farhan Akhtar is a confused man these days. Though, he is busy in his acting, leaving his production assignments to his business partner Ritesh Sidhwani, one of his dream project still remains to be his directorial venture Don 2, which he will have to take care of himself only.
Farhar, who has been thinking of directing Don 2 for quite some time now, is slightly discouraged by Shahrukh Khan’s shoulder injury. Farhan, it is said, wanted to portray Shahrtukh as a real action hero in the film, something he won’t be able to do now. Recently, speaking about Skhahrukh’s injury, Farhan said, “Shahrukh has always been daring and has done what others can’t even think of. But, problems with his health seem to worry me:.”
Earlier, there were alleged reports that taking into account that the story and the character to be played by male lead in the film demanded him to perform a lot of action sequences, the producers of the film were contemplating about replacing Shahrukh in Don 2. But dismissing these reports Ritesh Sidhwani has now said, “We are going ahead with the original cast. Not only Shahrukh but others including Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal and Om Puri will be a part of Don 2.”
Reports suggest that even Shahrukh Khan himself realizes this fact and has arranged his dates accordingly. It is this very reason, which has made the king Khan give all his dates in 2009 to films like Dulha Mil Gaya and My name is Khan, where he has to put in very little physical exertion.
Reports now suggest that as per the mutual understanding reached among Shahrukh, Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani, Shahrukh will only start shooting for Don 2 in 2010, when he is physically more capable and with no other big projects in hand, can concentrate exclusively on Farhan’s film.
