Hopefully, there is nothing much to read between lines but the way Shahrukh Khan is taking precautions while getting back to work after his shoulder surgery, may create a doubt in the minds of many people that though he has returned to work, not all is well with the biggest actor in Bollywood.
Though Skhahrukh may have had good intentions behind giving priority to films like Dulha Mil Gaya and My Name Is Khan because along with not having too many action scenes, which require the movement of his recently operated shoulder, these films were lying incomplete for a long time and it was the moral duty of the actor to complete them first.
But, the latest developments, whether they are out of a choice or a compulsion, seem to indicate that may be contrary to his claims in public, Shahrukh is not all that happy with the state of his shoulder, which needs more time for recovery. After postponing the shooting of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2 to 2010, Shahrukh has now decided to also delay one of his favorite subjects Ra 1.
Reports suggest that according to initial planning, since Shahrukh was very excited about Ra 1, which is going to be jointly produced by Eros International and his own company Red Chilies, he had given all his dates to this project and postponed his other projects like Don 2 and Happy New Year.
But in a shocking turn of events, Eros International, which is producing both Ra 1 and Happy New Year, called up Farah and asking her to finalize the script and rush to U. S. A. to meet Shahrukh because Eros now wants to shoot her film first.
Sources in the industry are full of speculations over this sudden turn of events. Officially though, Eros has just said, “In the time of economic recession, we do not want to make Ra 1.” Now, does it mean that Eros feels that Farah is a better director and can make a economically profitable movie even in the days of recession or they do not care for Farah at all and since they want to play safe with Ra 1, a movie in which there is much at stake, they have asked Farah to make her film first. Some people are also attributing the delay in shooting Ra 1 because Shahrukh is not ready for the action oriented roles as is the need of film’s script.
Whatever may be the reason, Shahrukh’s kids will now have to wait a little longer to see him as a Super hero in Ra 1.
