Salman Khan
Salman Khan may be famous as the bad boy of Bollyood. But when it comes to helping people, one man, who has always lent a helping hand to the needy people without making any big issue in the media about it, is Salman Khan. Not many can forget the day, when the two little girls, who were attached to each-other, just before undergoing the all-important surgery of their life, expressed their desire to meet their favorite Bollywood star and Salman despite his busy schedule, did not disappoint them.
On another occasion, when a young disable girl from an economically poor background told Salman that had she got the money to buy a laptop, should earn her livelihood sitting at home, Salman went out of his way to gift a laptop to her.
In another recent incident, while shooting for his film Wanted at Bandra Fort in Mumbai, to the surprise of all unit members, Salman met a man, a beggar, whom he felt he actually knew. And after putting some pressure on his memory, Salman recalled that the concerned man was the same person, who many years back used to earn his living from selling kites in Mumbai’s Bandra area, just adjust to the place where Salman lived.
Salman not only recognized him but even enquired as to what went wrong and what brought him to this state of affairs. And, when the beggar told him that he had suffered heavy loss in Business, which has brought him to this condition, Salman went out of his way to give him a sum of Rs. 25000, so that the man could start his life all over again.
Now, that’s the other side of Salman, which has unfortunately been kept under the wraps all these years. Salman has had a special place for the slum children, orphans and the disabled in his heart and does a lot for them through his NGO, Salman Khan Foundation.
Its sad that no one highlights such news and the whole focus on gossips only.
