Hema Malini
Sayjay Dutt has got support from unexpected quarter. Its none other than the dream girl of yesteryears Hema Malini, who while extending her support to the actor said that she strongly feels that justice has not been done to the TADA accused and he deserves better than what he is getting right now.
Speaking on the issue, Hema Malini said that personally she feels that just as his father late Sunil Dutt, Sanjay is a very good and a pure gentle man deep down his heart and such a person should be allowed to enter the public life. Hema Malini felt that had Sanjay got the permission to contest, it was most likely that he would have won the Lucknow seat.
It needs to be noted here that Hema Malini’s views are contrary to the official line adopted by BJP, the political party whom she presently represents in the Parliament, which has welcomed the Supreme Court decision not to allow Sanjay to contest since he has been convicted in 1993 Mumbai blast case.
Hema Malini made it clear that neither she or her husband Dharmendra plants to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. Citing that both of them had different reasons for their decision, Hema Malini pointed out that her husband had not shown much interest in seeking re-election this time around. As far as she is concerned, Hema said that the commitments of her acting carrier at present, did not give her enough time to concentrate on her political career.
Hema also said that she feels that her party BJP has a good chance of coming to power and she will be helping them in doing so by campaigning for the party.
