Hollywood Editor to Edit Teen Patti

by admin on February 26, 2010

Hollywood editors have been signed in to edit Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti.

If reports are to be believed, the makers of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Teen Patti have not only roped in Hollywood star Sir Ben Kingsley for a role in their film but the film has also been edited by a editor from Hollywood, Hughes Winborne. The Hollywood editor, who has edited Hollywood films like The Pursuit Of Happyness, Seven Pounds and a Crash, was ultimately selected to re-edit the film giving way to the Bollywood editor Kaushik Das, who was earlier roped in to edit the film.

Reports further suggest that Teen Patti has followed the footsteps of the makers Hrithik Roshan starrer Kites, which will have two different versions of the film, to be released in India and internationally. In case of Teen Patti, whereas the edition by Kaushik Das will be released in India, Hughes Winborne’s edition, which will have an international look, will be for the international audiences.

Giving reasons for having a different edition of the film for the international viewers, director of Teen Patti Leena Yadav says, “The western audiences have a different pace of movie viewing. We wanted our film to be fit their liking as well.”

Though, there will be two different editions of the film, it doesn’t mean that the Indian viewers will not get an opportunity to see the work of International technicians. The film also features the work of international stunt co-ordinator Armin Sauer, who according to Leela Yadav has filmed some breath taking stunt in the film, which will make Mr. Bachchan’s fan recall his image of angry young man, for which he was so famous in 1970’s and 80’s.

With editors from Hollywood being signed in to edit films like Kites and Teen Patti and international stunt co-ordinator Armin Sauer directing stuns in the latter films, technicians from west are making their presence felt in Bollywood in a big way. Hopefully their presence and work is appreciated more than stars like Kylie Minogue in Blue and Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Holly Valance in Kambakkht Ishq, which was rather disappointing.
