Hrithik Roshan is discharged from Hinduja Hospital today. A head injury from movie Bang Bang led to brain surgery for Hrithik.

Hrithik Roshan had to undergo a surgery at Mumbai’s Hinduja hospital after he suffered a head injury during the shooting of his film Bang Bang. This was revealed by his father Rakesh Roshan.

Rakesh said, “He was shooting for Bang Bang in Phuket, Bangkok. He was doing a stunt where he had to put a jet on his feet and go 30 feet high in the sky and then dive down in the water. So when he rehearsed, he fell the wrong way and banged his head a bit, which he didn’t realize. That started his pain and he started taking pain killers, thinking it will get fine in three to four days because something similar had happened during Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai also.”

He adds, “Hrithik finished shooting in the next eight days and he came to Mumbai. The headache was still there, so we had a CT scan done but nothing showed in it. Then he was on medication. So the pain decreased, but it started increasing gradually in the past four weeks.”

After Hrithik told his mother on the evening of July 5 that he was not very comfortable, he was taken to hospital the next morning for CT scan and MRI. As the Bollywood star was diagnosed with chronic subdural haematoma, he was admitted to hospital on July 6 and was operated upon on July 7.

Before surgery, Hrithik Roshan wrote on his Facebook page, “I’ve had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. Occasionally one must look within and realize its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined. Maybe it’s time for me to feel the power literally. I am going to go through brain surgery today and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all.”

As pointed out by Rakesh, Hrithik had to perform some dangerous stunts in Bang Bang, which was taking a toll on his body. After this injury, Hrithik will surely be more careful while performing such stunts.
