Indian Movies In Pakistan!

by admin on January 4, 2009

Due to the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan in wake of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, the two latest Bollywood hits Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajini have not released in cinema halls across Pakistan.

No, no, don’t get this wrong. It is not as if suddenly the producers of these two block-busters felt that they loved their country and city a lot and did not want their respective films to be released in the territory of those who allegedly masterminded the attacks on Mumbai, but it’s the other way round. Reports suggest that the government of Pakistan has banned the release of Indian movies in cinema halls across Pakistan.

But it seems that along with allegedly spying for other purposes like finding places where terrorist can strike and India’s top military secrets, Pakistan is also spying on Bollywood. And they have found out our top secret that Indian movie lovers across the world have made both Shahrukh Khan starrer Rab Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini a super duper hit.

Cinema lovers across Pakistan, who are said to love Hindi Films are thronging cinema halls across that country, asking when these films are hitting theaters over there.

Of course, being an official matter, the cinema hall owners have no answer to this particular question but someone else has it. Keeping in mind that the craze for bollywood movies is the same on both sides of the border, pirated CD’s and DVD’s are selling like hot cake across Pakistan.

Some are even smuggled in India. Did you get one?
