With the fear of Swine Flu threat looming large over the entire state of Maharashtra, film makers Vishal Bharadwaj and Rumi Jaffery, whose films Kaminey and Life Partner respectively are scheduled to release this week, have decided to postpone the release of the two films in Mumbai and Pune territory, the areas which have been most affected by the epidemic.
Thus, Priyanka Chopra and Shahid Kapoor starrer Kaminey and Life Partner, featuring a host of stars including Govinda, Akshay Khanna, Fardeen Khan, Tushar Kapoor, Genelia D’Souza and Prachi Desai, which were to release on August 14, will now be postponed by a week in Mumbai and Pune. It means, whereas in rest of the country, the film will release as planned, both these films will be postponed for a week in these two territories.
Though, with the state government ordering the closure of all cinema halls, the film wouldn’t have been release in the two cities anyway, the move is certainly going to have an adverse affect on the overall collections of the film.
But, on the second thought, if any of the two films gets good reviews and does well, the eagerness among Bollywood fans in Mumbai and Pune will increase and the two films will do even better once they get released in these two cities.
