Kareena Kapoor is a very busy girl these days. Apart from doing her usual work of acting in films, one other work that keeps her occupied is convincing her producers, not to show anything, which is sensuous and against Indian traditions that may upset any one in her own family and more specifically the family of Saif Ali Khan.
Reports suggest that where as Saif’s family objected to one dress in Kambakkth Ishq as they were not happy with Kareena wearing a bikini, the young actress is now worried about how they will react to one of the scenes in her upcoming movie Qurbaan.
Sources say that after shooting a rather bold scene in the movie, Kareena is now worried that the scene is too bold by Bollywood standards and therefore wants it removed from the film. Kareena fears that Saif’s family and her own family may not like such a scene to be shown on the silver screen, where she is shown almost bare.
Kareena has now planning to take up the issue with the director of Qurbaan and tell him that the scene shows too much intimacy and exposure as per the standards of Bollywood and should be cut.
Speaking about the particular scene, Kareena said, “We are actors and can’t afford to be shy after accepting a film on a bold subject like ‘Qurbaan’. I’ve done kissing scenes before. But the love-making scene is a little too much by my yardstick. It comes at a crucial stage in the narration.”
It is expected that at the end of the day Kareena may get her way and the scene will be deleted from the film. First of all, Qurbaan is being produced by Karan Johar, who is said to share a good rapport with all his actors and may give a better hearing to Kareena and her concerns than any other producer in Bollywood. And of course, in all likelihood, Kareena will not be alone in making this request. She will be accompanied by her co-star, both in the scene and the film – Saif Ali Khan.
Karan may not be in a position to say no when both Saif and Kareena ask him to remove the scene.
