Shahrukh Khan
Fourth day of the Lakme Fashion Week 2009, exhibited a surprise creation by designer Manish Malhotra i.e. a designer sling sported by none other than Shahrukh Khan. Nothing can tie down Shahrukh to his house. He walked the ramp in a black and gold sling resembling the official uniform of his IPL Cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). here.
It is important to note that Shahrukh Khan recently underwent a shoulder surgery and doctors advised him few months of rest. But here in Lakme Fashion Week Shahrukh Khan was walking down the ramp as the showstopper for designer Manish Malhotra’s creation.
Shahrukh Khan in his usual style said, “Manish is the first fashion designer in the history of mankind to design a sling. I don’t know if they give away a Filmfare Award at the end of the fashion show. But I think Manish should be given a Filmfare for the best sling. He’s the world’s best sling designer now.”
According to Shahrukh Khan he was supposed to discard the sling a day before the show. But couldn’t resist wearing Manish’s designer sling for the show.
