The issue for which Preity Zinta went to cops was indeed a property issue.
For a change the police was right and it has now been proved that the issue of theft for which Preity Zinta had gone to the police station and had made a huge noise when police refused to register her complaint was indeed a property issue.
It has now come to be known that this is an issue between the children of late Kamaal Amrohi, who are having a dispute over sharing property worth Rs. 600 Crore.
It has now been learnt that Shandar, one of the three children of Kamal has now filed a case against his sister and brother alleging that rather than giving him share in his father’s production company Mahal pictures Pvt Ltd, they are paying it to a Pune based company.
Sources also point out that it was not Preity but Shandar, who had actually gone to the Khar police station to file a complaint, which the police refused to register.
It was a case of bad luck for the cops at the Khar police station that just as Shandar was struggling to register his complaint, Preity, whom Shandar considers as his own adopted child and has decided to give all his property to, walked in and used her celebrity status as a Bollywood film star to make a big issue of the way the police behaved with Shandar.
Despite the fact that it was indeed a property dispute issue and police was right in not registering the case of theft, Preity’s star status has helped Shandar to register a case against his brother and sister in the court of law.
