Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in Love Aaj Kal
While Akshay Kumar is said to be very upset both with Sajid Nadiadwala and Sabir Khan, the producer and director respectively of his film Kambakkht Ishq, for giving over emphasis to his kissing scenes with Denise Richards and Kareena Kapoor in the film, Saif Ali Khan and the director of his first home production Love Aaj Kal Imtiaz Ali have absolutely no problem the kissing scenes in their film and its promotional campaign.
Talking about his film recently, Imtiaz Ali admitted that his film has passionate kissing scenes and he is even going to use these scenes in the promotion of the film.
Putting across a theory, which has been totally unheard of, Imtiaz Ali said that he is showing these scenes in the promos of the film so that his audiences get used to them and don’t feel embarrassed to see the scenes when they appear in the film.
But, the director was quick to add that despite these passionate scenes, his film is a family entertainer, a film that can be watched by the entire family sitting together.
Said Imtiaz Ali, “Nobody will feel shy watching Love Aaj Kal. No one will hesitate walking into the film with his family. The only potentially objectionable in the film in the strictest of sense has been shown in the first promo itself. If you have warmed up on it, rest assured you will surely enjoy Love Aaj Kal.”
Rubbishing the fact that he was trying to promote Love Aaj Kal on the basis of these passionate scenes, Imtiaz Ali said that he was charged with similar allegations before the release of Jab We Met as well, which were proved wrong later.
Hopefully this different promotional strategy will work for the film and the film will do well at the Box Office.
