Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor

Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor

Though he may have given the most precious gift to his Maamu Jaan by acting so well in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, one of the biggest hit of 2008 and his Mamu jaan also reciprocated by gifting him a car, yet his nephew Imran Khan wasn’t Aamir Khan’s first choice for the lead role in his next home production Delhi Belly.

In fact Aamir Khan’s first choice for this lead role was Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan only came into picture once Ranbir refused to do the film.

Refusing Aamir Khan or his film wouldn’t have been easy for Ranbir. Not only that Aamir himself is such a big star himself but after hits like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, probably his production house Aamir Khan Production is also held in equally high esteem in Bollywood. So, why didn’t Ranbir Kapoor do Delhi Belly

“I would not to do a film like this, which I cannot watch sitting along with my parents,” said Ranbir, while giving his reason to refuse this film.

But, his replacement Imran has no such problems. When asked Imran said, “I won’t have any problem watching this film with my mom. I have a very cool rapport with her.”
Hopefully, Imran is able to prove Ranbir really wrong and keeping up to its reputation, even Aamir Khan’s production house gives us a good film, which at the end of the day is one, which not only Imran but all of us can watch along with our families with utmost ease.
