Salman Khan says that he is ready to take responsibility if Veer fails at the Box office.

Salman Khan says that his soon to be released film Veer is his film and he will take full responsibility if the film fails at the box office.

While addressing a press conference to promote the movie, which hits theatre on 22nd January, Salman said that though films like Gadar Ek Prem Katha and Lagaan have been hit at the box office, still there is no surety that every period film will do well at the box office. He said, “Despite many of them doing well, I have been told plenty of times that period dramas are not a safe genre and there are plenty of flops to prove the point. I have left it for the audiences to decide if they like Veer or not. If it does, the credit will go to everybody and if it doesn’t, then I will take the blame.”

Salman said that the idea to make Veer is not new since the project was thought of about a decade ago. But since there was no scope for such a project both in terms of financial resources to make the film and audience, who would watch it, Veer did not materialize earlier.

Veer is a very important film for Salman because in the past two years Salman has had just one hit in the form of Wanted and would be desperate to have another hit in the form of Veer. Salman is said to have worked very hard on Veer and would be thrilled if the film succeeds at box office.

In bad times, it is very easy for a star to put the blame of failure on others. But by saying that he is ready to take the responsibility if Veer fails, Salman has shown \that he is deeply involved in his projects and also cares for his producers.
