After about seven years, since he first began with it, the most well-known singing reality show anchor Shaan, has decided to quit his job on television. Shaan, who is also a success Bollywood playback singer, has now made up his mind to concentrate more on his playback singing rather than hosting singing talent hunt shows on television.
Shaan, who has hosted famous shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Little Champs on Zee Tv and Voice Of India on Star Plus, says he isn’t really very keen on hosting the Television shoes any longer. Giving reasons for his decision, the singer who has lent his voice to many hit songs like Wo Ladki Hai Kahan from Dil Chahata Hai, Kuchh To Hua Hai from Kal Ho Na Ho and Chand Sifarish from Fanna, which also won him a Fiilmfare award, has said that while hosting these talent hunt shows, he has to shout a lot into the mike, which is not good for his throat and voice. Shaan felt this was directly affecting his ability to sing, he couldn’t even rehearse properly. He felt that it was time to choose between the two job, Shaan has chosen singing as he is more attached to it than anchoring and gives it the first preference.
Shaan said that he wanted to quit television earlier also but since the concerned channel did not have any suitable replacement for him, he had no choice but to continue.
Hopefully, the move to quit anchoring will help him concentrate on and boost his career as a singer. But, by quitting anchoring, he will also have to forego the easy money he made by hosting these shows on television.
