Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor recently, while thanking people who helped him shape his career forgot to name Ken Ghosh.
The success and appreciation Shahid Kapoor got with the success of Kaminey has certainly made him a more confident person and a more confident actor. But, whereas being confident as a person and as an actor is a good thing, the problem arises when you go a step further and become arrogant. May be the same has happened with Shahid.
This came to light when during a Television show Shahid was asked, who are the people he thinks are responsible for his success as an actor in Bollywood?
Answering this question, Shahid said that the two names that immediately come to his mind are Vishal Bhardwaj, who directed him in Kaminey and Imtiaz Ali, who made Jab We Met with him.
Maybe, since these two films are the latest hits of Shahid and have brought him both name and fame in recent times, it was appropriate on his part to take their name but what about Ken Ghosh, who showed faith in Shahid and gave him his first break, when he was struggling and going studio to studio, from one producer to another asking for just one chance to prove himself. It was Ken Ghosh, who not only gave him a break in Ishq Vishk but by making a good film, made him a big star overnight. How could Shahid not name him?
But, if sources in Bollywood are to be believed, Shahid may have intentionally left Ken’s name out. The sources go on to add that though Ken may have given his first break to Shahid, their relation has become worse over a period of time and the two had serious differences during the making of Chance Pe Dance, their latest offering together. May be its this change in equation between the two that has made Shahid skip the name of Ken in the list of people, who helped him shape his career.
But, whether it was intentional or by chance, the fact remains that Shahid forgot name of Ken Ghosh while thanking people, who helped him shape his career despite the fact that the director not only gave him his first break but also the first hit.
