What went wrong with Dil Bole Haddipa? Was it Rani or Shahid Kapoor? Take a trip down memory lane.
There was time when Aamir Khan rocked the silver screen with Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and got lot of praise and appreciation for being a chocolate hero. The chocolate hero trend, which started probably by stat sons like Rishi Kapoor and Kumar Gaurav, much before Aamir got into the industry, has continued ever since with many new actors, at the point of time of entering the industry, being given this tag. Whereas some were able to grow up and matured both as an individual and as an actor, others after the grand initial success faded away and became a part of history.
But, what if you are a good actor and have it in you to make it big in the Bollywood industry but it is your chocolate face, which rather than being an asset for you proves to be a liability.
In fact, that is precisely whats happening to Shahid Kapoor. Though Shahid is a good actor, his young and chocolaty face occassionally put in a spot of bother.
Shahid Kapoor has gone through this problem earlier also, when in 2008, he looked younger to his co-star Vidya Balan in Kismat Konnection and the film failed to get any response at the Box office. In fact, a lot of people at that point of time felt that Vidya looked too old on screen as compared to Shahid and this was one of the main reason, why a lot of people got switched off even before seeing the film and Kismat Konnection proved to be a faliure at the Box office.
Again, this time around, as the Dil Bole Hadippa, is about to hit the silver screen, reports suggest that Bollywood lovers are making the complaint that Shahid and Rani are a big mismatch on the screen and the lady looks older than her on-screen male counterpart in the film
Now, this is a bad news for both Shahid and especially for Rani, who desperately needs a hit. Hopefully the film will be good enough to overcome this drawback.
