Shahrukh Khan is getting widespread support from Bollywood over his controversial remarks on cricketers from Pakistan.
After initial support from his arch rival Aamir Khan, superstar Shahrukh Khan is said to be getting widespread support from Bollywood over his controversial remarks on cricketers from Pakistan as other stars have also taken his side on this issue.
Though, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan himself has stayed away from making any comments over Shiv Sena’s opposition to Shahrukh’s suggestion to include cricketer from Pakistan in the upcoming IPL cricket tournament, his son Abhishek Bachchan has indicated that he may not be totally oppose to Shahrukh’s idea.
Abhishek, who recently had Shahrukh as his guest on his Television game show Bingo, while indirectly supporting him on this issue said that he felt sports, art and culture should be kept away from politics. Abhishek added, "All that has happened over the past few days is very unfortunate and sad. I believe that sports, arts and culture should be above politics and needs to be kept away from it.”
Though Abhishek did not directly say that he supports Shahrukh’s stand on cricketers from Pakistan, his comments were a clear indication of what he feels over this issue.
Shahrukh also got support from unexpected quarters when his not so good friend in recent times, Salman Khan also said that there was nothing wrong in Shahrukh’s remarks and he did not need to apologize to anyone for it in anyway. Salman said that as the owner of an IPL team, Shahrukh had a right to comment on anything concerning the cricket tournament.
Bollywood is known more for his gossip news where the stars keep fighting and accusing each-other or some issue or the other. But with Shahrukh getting widespread support from Bollywood over his controversial remarks on cricketers from Pakistan, it seems the entire industry\has come together at least for once.
