Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan and Kajol got a rare honor when they rang the NASDAQ bell to start business at the American stock exchange.
Ringing the NASDAQ bell is considered a very big respect for anyone in the world and only some big celebrities including some head of states have been considered worthy of it in the past. Days before the release of their film My Name Is Khan, Shahrukh and Kajol became the first Bollywood celebrity to get this unique honor.
If sources are to be believed, Shahrukh and Kajol got this honor courtesy Fox Searchlight Picture, one of the most prominent film distribution company in the world, which is also distributing My Name Is Khan, the latest movie starring Shahrukh and Kajol.
My name is Khan has been produced and directed by Karan Johar, who has redefined regular Bollywood cinema by making movies that not only bring the usual bollywood lovers to watch them but also appeal to international audiences.
Moreover, since My Name Is Khan is based on the all-famous 9/11 terrorist attack in USA, Karan is quite hopeful that his film has the capacity of attracting quite a few of international movie fans.
