No, don’t scratch your head unnecessarily because there aren’t any big prizes for guessing what those speculations are. As expected, reports suggest that the general secretary of Samajwadi Party, Amar Singh allegedly has a hand in the entire episode and has used his influence to have the ex miss world’s Aishwarya Rai added to the list of Padamashree awardees.
Taking nothing away from the talented actress, it needs to be mentioned here that it is no secret that Aishwarya’s father in-law Mr. Amitabh Bachchan is the best friend of Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh, her mother in-law is a Rajya Sabha MP from the same Samajwadi Party, the party, which incidentally is being used as a crutch by the Manmohan Singh government to hang on to the power at the centre.
Further, the speculations are also on that Samajwadi Party hasn’t done this favor to the Bachchan family free of cost. Reports suggest that the beautiful Bachchan bahu may be asked to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from a Samajwadi ticket from some constituency, which is not a big stronghold of the party.
Not a bad deal Aishwarya. Given that you have almost retired from the film industry and spending most of your time concentrating on reviving your hubby’s career than focusing on your own, it may not be a bad idea to kill some of your free time by entering politics.
