Hema Malini
A theft took place at Hema Malini’s house on Saturday.
In a theft that took place at Bollywood actress Hema Malini’s house in Goregaon in Mumbai on Saturday, cash and jewellery collectively worth Rs. 80 lakh got stolen. A complaint in this regard has been registered by her cousin at the Dindoshi, Goregaon (East) police station.
The incident came into notice when Hema Malini’s maid came to her bungalow early in the morning and noticed that the house was in total mess. She later discovered that the thieves had opened her cupboard and broken the safe.
It was only after the maid informed about the incident to the employees of the Bollywood actress, who in turn informed the police that the incident came to light.
Investigation suggest that the thieves entered the house by breaking open the window and took away jewellery including diamond and gold set worth Rs. 75 lacs and cash worth Rs. 5 lacs.
The police said that they have detained the three security guards of the building and are also questioning the domestic helpers of the bungalow with regard to the theft.
Police added that they have received a tip-off about the thefts and dispatched a team to Nepal for further investigation on the basis of this information. The policed hoped that it will be able catch the thieves soon and the case would be solved.
Though, the theft took place at Hema Malini’s house and valuable worth Rs. 80 Lacs were stolen from there, Hema herself does not know about it as yet. The Bollywood actress is said to be out of the town and will get to know about it only when she returns to Mumbai.
