No film has managed to impress the audiences this week. With both Loot and Miley Naa Miley Hum getting a poor start at the Box office and even Ra.One losing its ground steadily, no film has managed to impress the audiences this week. This week was interesting in the sense that it would have been difficult even for the trade pundits to guess what the days ahead had in store and how viewers would react to both the two new releases. In fact, if you look at it closely, Loot had more plus points to it than the limitations. Whereas the main drawback of the film of course was that it took a long time in making, fans expected a comedy produced by Sunil Shetty starring Govinda and Javed Jaffrey may be a watchable film. But with the opening it got, those expectations quickly faded away. With around 20% opening, Loot managed to make only Rs.1 crore in the first weekend of its release. Trade analysts say that the film is expected to make almost the equal amount in the remaining weekdays and the collections of Loot are not going to cross Rs. 2 crore in the first 7 days. The fate of the other release of the week Miley Naa Miley Hum proved to be even worse. Yes, when the history of Bollywood would be written, the name of many love stories featuring new comers will be written in gold letters. But the name of Chirag Paswan will surely miss that list. His first film made a meagre amount of Rs 70 Lacs in the weekend and is expected to end with Rs 1 crore in first week. Surprisingly the poor performance of Loot and Miley Naa Miley Hum by no means meant great news for Ra.One. The film might have collected Rs 99 crore in first 9 days of its release but in the next 7 days, it has only made a total of Rs 14 crore only. And with Rokstar releasing this week, analysts are now wondering whether Ra.One will ever get anywhere near to the amount of Rs. 200 crore, which everyone was earlier talking about.
