Why do you go to watch a movie? If you go to see a movie just to have some good time, relax and enjoy, then All the best is just the film for you.
The film is a story of Veer (Fardeen Khan) and his friend Prem (Ajay Devgn), who in order to extract some easy money from Veer’s businessman elder brother Dharam (Sanjay Dutt), lie to him that Veer has got married and needs money.
Actually Veer is in Love with Vidya [Mugdha Godse), whose father (Prem Choprta) is against their relation.
But, the situation for Veer and Prem gets messed-up when Dharam pays a surprised visit to Veer and mistakes Jhanvi [Bipasha Basu), who is actually Prem’s wife as Veer’s wife.
There is also another angle to the story, where both Prem and Veer trying to make some easy money, get into a financial mess.
The central idea of the film revolves round the concept of mistaken identity, something that becomes clear at the very early stage of the film. In fact, through the concept of mistaken identity, All the best is the third attempt after Golmaal and Golmaal Returns, where the team of Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn tries to make you laugh and succeeds in it to a large extent.
Not only director Rohit Shetty but almost the entire technical team of All The Best including writers Robin and Yunus, cinematographer Dudley and dialogue writers Farhad – Sajid and Bunty Rathore have all done their job well.
Though All The Best’s strongest point’s is its strong technical team, the two main actors Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn have done their part to perfection and helped in making it a watchable film. The two actors have been supported well by Bipasha Basu, Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Mukesh Tiwari, Vijay Patkar, Ashwini Kalsekar and Atul Parchure.
All The best will be remembered for director Rohit Shetty, who for the third time has proved that Ajay Devgn’s career does not rest only on action and if given a chance, he can make you laugh as well. With this film, Rohit and Ajay have replaced the team of David Dhawan and Govinda as the one that gives you good and entertaining comedies.
Of course, there are some loose ends in the film as well. Apart from Fardeen Khan and Mugdha Godse, who fail to deliver, the slow pace in the second hour of the film and the disappointing music are its main weak points.
The best part though is the timing of the release of the film. Because, if you are in a mood to enjoy and have some goods time on the occasion of Diwali, All The Best is the film you need to book your tickets for
