Right Yaa Wrong is a tight thrilling courtroom drama, that hooks you on and catches you unaware at various points.

A story like Right Ya Wrong, which deals with the issue of two friends, who find themselves at the opposite side of the law is definitely not easy to write. This is a kind of a film, where the conclusion has to be interesting and at the same time should be able to justify both sides in a proper manner. The director has managed to do so to a large extent.

The film is a story of a brave cop Ajay (Sunny Deol), who wants his wife (Eesha Koppikhar) to kill him after an expected incidence takes place in his life. The film also tells the tale of Ajay’s close friend and rival at work Vinay (Irfan Khan). Both Ajay and Vinay get into dramatic confrontation, where Vinay’s sister [Konkona Sen Sharma], takes Ajay’s side.

The film starts slowly and the initial parts of the film tend to indicate that it is one of those stories you have already seen a thousand times in Bollywood. The film only becomes interesting when Sunny, with the help of his wife and brother hatches a conspiracy of his own death. The interval point of the film is also quite gripping.

The film becomes interesting even further when Irfan is not convinced by Sunny’s statement and reopens the case. The various ups and down the film goes through after that and the thrilling and emotional court scene at the end, manages to hold you on to your seats.

Indeed, given that the director on the film Neerraj Pathak is one of the better writers in Bollywood, the story and screenplay of the film are top rate. With Right Ya Wrong Neerraj has also proved that along with writing, he also has the capacity and the capability to direct.

The music composer Monty hasn’t got too much chance to prove himself in the film.

Sunny Doel, Eesha Koppikhar and Arav Chowdharry have all done justice to their role. Konkana looks outstanding in some of the courtroom scenes in the latter part of the film. But again, the show stealer is Irfan Khan, who stands out with his performance.

On an overall basis, Right Yaa Wrong may not be a bad film but it seems that everyone concerned with it did not have too much faith in it. Probably that is why, the makers of the film did not waste too much time and money in publicity and have released it during the IPL cricket season, reducing the chances of its success even further.
