A sportsman has challanged Abhishek Bachchan’s claim of doing all stunt scenes in Raavan himself.
Whereas Raavan has opened to an average response all around, it is being praised for the technical side of film making, which includes some foot tapping music that you remember for quite some time even after the film has ended, beautiful camera work that is a treat for your eyes and some breath-taking stunts, which keep you on the edge of your seats.
One of the scenes from the film, which has caught everyone’s attention and even has been featured in all the promos on Television, is Abhishek’s dive from the cliff, which puts your heart into your mouth.
But whereas Abhishek is taking all the credit for performing this difficult scene saying he has performed all his stunts in the film himself, a former national level diving champion has claimed something very different.
The former national level diving champion named Balram says that rather than Abhishek, it was he, who had undertaken that dangerous jump from the top of the hill.
The sportsman said that though he has a lot of respect for both director Mani Ratnam and Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan, who has performed the concerned scene on-screen, the truth is that it was not Abhishek but he who had actually made this frightening jump. Balram added, “I am not here to create any controversy or to attract publicity because personally, I am a big fan of the Bachchans and want Mani Ratnam sir’s movie to do well. But, it is also true that I was paid for doing the stunt and I am proud that I could manage it.”
The stuntman challenging Abhishek Bachchan’s claim of doing all stunt scenes in Raavan himself comes as another bad news for Abhishek. Despite all the criticism the film has faced, Abhishek was been credited for delivering the kind of stunt scenes in the film, which have not been seen before in Bollywood movie. But now that the world has come to know that even these scenes were performed by someone else, even this praise is going to go away.
