Rani Mukherjee is going her friend Aditya Chopra’s way and has confined herself to four walls.
Following her close friend Aditya Chopra, Rani Mukerjee has stopped socializing and meeting people to confine herself to the four walls of her house.
Reports suggest that Rani is extremely hurt by the outcome of her latest movie Dil Bole Hadippa, which flopped miserably at the box office and has stopped attending to many parties or interacting with too many of her friends as she used to do before. Rani is also not talking to media persons.
Rani is also avoiding her friends from Bollywood like Urmila Matondkar and Dia Mirza, who were said to be very close to one another at one point of time.
Confirming the news of Rani getting introvert in last couple of months, one of her close friends said, “There is a change in Rani’s behavior and that is unexplainable. She has become a very introvert and a private person. Though all her friends are eager to see the old Rani, she insists that she wants to be left alone.”
During the course of making of the film, there were various reports that Rani was working very hard on Dil Bole Hadippa and had lot of expectations from the film. It seems that the failure of the film has hurt Rani very badly and she is still finding it hard to come to terms with it.
It is therefore good that Rani is a close friend of Aditya, who himself is a very introvert person and seems to have taught Rani how to stay alone and confined in these time of difficulties for her.

Hema Malini
Police is said to have nabbed culprits who robbed Hema Malini’s house.
Police is said to have solved the case of theft at Hema Malini’s house, in which cash, jewelry and valuable over Rs. 2 cr were stolen from her house in Goregaon East.
The police nabbed five people in this connection from Nensey Colony in Borivli East, just 10 Kms away from where the theft took place.
Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Rakesh Maria said that the robbers were caught when the police got a tip-off about another robbery, which was allegedly being planned by the same men, who have been accused in the case of robbery at Hema Malini’s residence. The police then lay a trap, which helped to arrest the culprit.
The police not only nabbed the five criminals but also recovered most of the valuables that had been stolen from Hema’s residence.

Imagine this. It’s the first day first show of one of the most awaited movie of the year and despite the fact that tickets are easily available, you don’t want to see the film. The reason being that you not only know the story of the film but almost every scene that the movie has to offer.
There is a growing feeling among the producers that in their enthusiasm to write on these social networking sites, some stars are revealing some facts, which may not help the film at the box office.
Keeping this in mind, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has asked the lead pair of his upcoming film Anjaana Anjaani, Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor not to write anything about the film on any of the social networking sites.
Nadiadwala said he himself has logged onto some of these the social networking site and has seen a lot of comments and other information about his film on these sites, most of which are untrue. He hopes that with the lead pair not writing about the film, at least some wrong information about the film will be prevented from spreading.
Though Nadiadwala may be the first one to ban a star working in his film from writing about the film on Social Networking Sites like Twitter and Facebook, keeping in mind the risk such sites pose with regard to revealing the secret facts associated with the films, many more makers may follow Nadiadwala and ask the stars not to write about their films at these social networking sites.

Preity Zinta is appointed as the UNAIDS’s Indian ambassador. Just a few minutes ago Preity Zinta has written about this appointment of United Nations Programme on HIV-AIDS on her twitter account. She wrote, “Had an awsome Press Conf. In Delhi! I am now officially the Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS & for peace ! It was endearing to meet people.”
Pretty stars like Preity Zinta are not lagging behind in their social commitments. Like a marketing pro she is thinking of involving her IPL Cricket team Kings XI into this campaign. It seems she is picking up lots of business tips and marketing strategies during her stint as the owner of Kings XI. As an ambassador, Preity Zinta will raise awareness on HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. She will give more emphasis on women and children to create a difference.
Preity Zinta expresses her thoughts during the press conference in Delhi, “The team members of Kings XI, they will be involved in a public service film to talk about HIV-AIDS. We are also in our first game with Delhi Daredevils, which is on March 13, going to have a toss done by a person living with HIV.”
Preity Zinta said, "We will be doing a lot of on-ground…going and creating awareness, meeting people living with HIV. I think this is the first step and there is lots more to come."
"I think although there are so many awareness programmes being done amongst the people but something is still lacking. People need to put more efforts in the awareness programmes," Preity Zinta said. "Till now awareness programmes were conducted only in the cities but now we shall have to conduct it in the villages and rural areas of the country as well.”
Its heartening to see stars like Preity Zinta coming forward for such a cause and creating awareness among common people. Its for sure with people like Preity Zina talks we the people listens.

Today Akshay Kumar is saying to kids to spend less time on internet and more to their studies. Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Hi,I believe for quite a few of u,the exam fever is running high,so most of u shouldn’t even be online reading this…”
In the very next tweet, Akshay Kumar wrote, “In case you are, I just wanted to wish you guys all the best.Study hard, may God always be with you and cheers to a bright future!”
Its nice to know the parenting side of the stars. They too are responsible people and don’t care for box office collections all the time.

Shahrukh Khan, Akon and Kareena Kapoor
Shahrukh Khan married pop singer Akon to Kareena Kapoor at an event in his honor.
Off late, Shahrukh has been known to crack some cheap jokes. Recently, while writing on a social networking site, Shahruk commented, “I asked my friends whether I cracked some cheap jokes at the recently concluded Filfare award function. When they said Yes, I told them that in the times of economic recession, how could I afford costly jokes.”
Though Filmfare event is long over, Shahrukh’s cheap jokes don’t seem to end. Here’s another one of them.
In an event organized in the honor of the pop singer Akon, who is in Mumbai to record a few songs for Shahrukh Khan’s movie Ra 1, Shahrukh married him off to Bollywood lead female star Kareena Kapoor.
The incident happened at the beginning of the party, when Shahrukh and Akon came there.
As Kareena, who had been assigned the duty to put a Tikka on his forehead and garland both Akon and Shahrukh when they entered the party undertook the duty assigned to her, Shahrukh remarked, “In India, when a girl garlands a boy, it is supposed that they have got married. Now, all three of us are married.”
Among others the event was attended by Uday Chopra, Hrithik Roshan , Priyanka Chopra, Abhay Doel, Kangana Ranaut , Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal Dino Morea , Fardeen Khan amoung others.
Reports suggest that though it was planned that Akon will be welcomed at this event in the traditional Indian way, the pop star looked very confused when he was garlanded and a Tikka was put on his forehead. It was right then that Shahrukh cracked this joke and married Karina off to Akon to put on a smile on the face of everyone present.
Meanwhile Shahrukh has clarified that Akon is in Mumbai to sing only for the film Ra 1 and right now, they haven’t discussed any other proposal to work together. Shahrukh also dismissed the reports that there were any plans for the pop singer to record a song for his IPL cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders, though he would not mind if that actually happens.

Katrina Kaif has said that though she has often been called hot and sexy, she does not feel anything of that sort in her real life.
Katrina said that each female lead star in Bollywood has a certain image and the actresses have live up to that image not only on the screen but also in their personal life as well.
Giving an example, Katrina said, “Vidya Balan is seen as simple ethnic lady because in most of her film she has taken up such roles only. But, since most of the characters I have taken-up in the past have had glamorous look on screen, contrary to reality, I am considered to be glamorous in real life as well.”
Irrespective of whether she has a hot and sexy look on screen and whether that look is contrary to her real life image, Katrina will not mind till it helps her career in Bollywood and make all her films a super hit.

Deepika Pdukone
Nana Patekar is said to be very upset with Deepika Padukone for proposing changes in his script.
It seems like in any other field or industry, even Bollywood has men, who love to do things in their own way and do not wish to be disturbed in any manner. Once upon a time you used to hear such stories about late Rajkumar and now you hear them about Nana Patekar.
Nana Patekar, who recently put all his acting assignments aside to work on directing his next Bollywood movie, is said to be very upset with Deepika Padukone for suggesting changes in the script, which he had chosen for his next film.
Reports suggest that Nana had offered a role to Deepika in his next directorial venture when the two recently met on the sets of a movie.
Though, Deepika wasn’t adverse to the idea of working with Nana, like most other stars, she suggested that it would be better if she could listen to the script of the film, a thought, which suited both Deepika and Nana.
But, sources point out that as per the mutual decision, when Nana went and narrated the script to Deepika, she suggested a few changes in the script before she took up the role. This did not go well with Nana as he not only refused to accept Deepika’s suggestions but also blasted her for making those suggestions. When asked, Nana said that he is a senior person in the industry and therefore finds it quite odd that a newcomer like Deepita should make suggestions regarding his script.
Though, both Nana and Deepika were not available to comment on their meeting, a source close to Deepika denied the entire report of Deepika proposing changes in the script or Nana being upset with her over the issue. The sources added that though Deepika and Nana discussed the script, the meeting was a peaceful affair, which ended immediately after Deepika told Nana that she did not want to be a part of the film as she did not identify with the character she was being offered.

Shahrukh Khan and Farah Khan
Shahrukh Khan did not invite Farah Khan to a party organized by him.
It is very clear now that Farah Khan’s decision to cast Akshay Kumar in her upcoming directorial ventureTees Maar Khan instead of her favorite Shahrukh Khan was not just a professional decision. Despite both denying reports in this regard, it is now well known that the reason why Farah chose Akshay Kumar over Shahrukh is because not all is well between the director and the actor, who had earlier worked together in films like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om.
The fact that both personal and professional relation between the actor and the director are at an all time low became clear when Shahrukh refused to include Farah’s name in the list of guests for a party to be organized for pop singer Akon, who was in Mumbai to record a song in Shahrukh’s movie Ra 1.
Reports suggest that the Morani brothers, who organized the event for Shahrukh, were specifically told to strike off Farah and her husband’s name from the list of guests to be invited to this event at the very last moment.
Farah’s exclusion from the list of guest because of her tense relation with Shahrukh had become clear when apart from Farah all the other guest to be invited to the party were informed a week before the event. On that occasion, both Shahrukh and Morani brothers had tried to downplay the issue saying, “Since the list of guests is still being finalized and invitations are still being sent, Farah’s name will figure somewhere.”
But, with Farah actually not being sent an invitation for this party till the last moment, it was clear that her personal relation with Shahrukh is not good and the two are probably not on talking terms.

Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar was recently handcuffed. Read why?
You may recall that an arrest warrant was issued against Bollywood star Akshay Kumar last year in the famous obstinacy case, when he and his wife were allegedly involved in an indecent act in public. Akshay might have escaped arrest because he was abroad (Akshay, Twinkle May Be Arrested For Unbuttoning Act) But this time around he could not do anything when he was faced with similar circumstances.
The incident occurred a few days ago when Akshay was working for Farah Khan’s next directorial venture Tees Maar Khan, where he had to shoot a scene in which he was to be handcuffed.
The incident happened when after rehearsing a scene, one of the unit members was trying to open the handcuff before the final take. As the keys got broken, the handcuffed closed again and Akshay’s hands got locked.
Though, initially Akshay took the entire incident in a light hearted manner, hoping that the unit had another key available at the shooting spot to open the handcuff, it was Farah who panicked knowing that the key, which had broken was the only oney available with the unit. She even didn’t wait for the shot to be taken and asked for a local a locksmith to be summoned.
But even that did not end Akshay’s woos as the particular handcuff used to shoot the scene was foreign made, which the local locksmith had no clue about.
Eventually, Farah had to rush a unit member to the other end of the city to get the duplicate key so that the handcuff could be unlocked.
Though it took around four hours to get Akshay out of the handcuff, he kept his cool and did not panic in the process of being handcuffed for the first time.

Ajay Devgan and Konkana Sen in Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge
Trade analysts say that Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge is pulling good crowd at the box office.
Ajay Devgn’s calculations have proved right. As the Bollywood actor had anticipated, his latest release at the box office Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge is pulling good crowd to the theatres across the country.
Before the release of the film, Ajay had said that the feel good film, which reminded of comedies made by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Basu Chatterjee in 1970 and 80, should be different and refreshing enough for the Bollywood audiences and should be able to pull audiences to the cinema halls.
In fact the cinema hall owners are very happy with the crowd the film has pulled. Analyst point out that the film is doing so well because the middle class audiences are able to identify with the real-life characters of the film, which feature Ajay Devgn, Konkana Sen Sharma and Paresh Rawal in the lead role.
Though the overall collections of the film have been average with only 57% of total tickets being sold, its main reason is that contrary to some of the bigger films, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge hasn’t had the kind of publicity some other big films get before their release. The film collected around Rs. 8 Cr in its first weekend. Yet with collections picking up with each passing day (it was 35% on first day), this is the second film off-late after Ishqiya, about which information is spreading by the word of mouth and people have come out to cinema halls to see the film.
You may recall that even Ishqiya had a slow start but manage to secure a hit tag by the end of the first week. Trade analysts expect the same from Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge.
Though, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge is pulling huge crowd yet, out of all the releases this week, it’s the off-beat film Thanks Maa featuring Alok Nath, Raghuveer Yadav, Barry John, Sanjay Mishra and Ranvir Shorey, which is drawing maximum crowd with collections up to 75%.

Ajay Devgn has not seen My Name Is Khan. Read Why?
The kind of success My Name Is Khan has got at the Box Office makes you believe that everyone has seen the film. But that is not true because, one person, who has not seen the film is Ajay Devgn.
Ajay Devgn decision not to watch My Name Is Khan reminds you of Salman Khan, who refused to watch New York last year, despite repeated request from his good friend Katrina Kaif to do so. In this case also, Ajay refused to see My Name Is Khan despite repeated requests from his wife Kajol, who is the female lead star of the film.
But unlike Salman, who took a policy decision not to see any of Katrina’s film where she is paired opposite other male lead stars, Ajay has no such issues since in the past he has seen films where his wife has been paired with other stars from Bollywood.
Sources say that whereas Ajay has allegedly made an excuse to not see the film because he has been busy with his own projects, especially Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, which Ajay wanted to wrap up quickly, the truth is somewhat different. The sources further allege that Ajay has not seen the film because of Shahrukh Khan. Though Shahrukh and Kajol may be very good friends, but when it comes to Shahrukh’s relations with her husband, they are not at an all time best.
Ajay is not even ready to consider the Kajol’s point of view that the film does not belong only to Shahrukh and her husband should see the film for the sake of Kajol.
Kojol is said to be very upset with Ajay for not watching My Name Is Khan. But, she has now given up requesting Ajay to see the film as she knows there is not much she can do about it.

Arjun Rampal
Arjun Rampal is moving in and out of Ra One. He is now in the film again.
Strangely, one person, who is walking in and out of Ra One is Arjun Rampal. He was first signed for the film, then he quit the film and now it seems he is again back in Ra One, which stars Shahrukh Khan in the lead role.
Since Shahrukh and Arjun are very close fiends, both worked together in Om Shanti Om with Arjun getting a lot of appreciation in the lead negative role. Therefore when Shahruk and director Anubhav Sinha planned Ra One, their first choice for the lead negative character in the film was Arjun. Moreover, since the action-packed role is exciting enough for any actor to take it up, Arjun was more than willing to be a part of this project.
But, just as Anubhav Sinha had problems in starting the film because his first choice for the lead role Shahrukh Khan had suffered a shoulder injury, he had problems in choosing the lead negative character as well since Arjun’s back problem did not allow him to be a part of Ra One. Eventually, because Arjun was not available, the role went to Vivek Oberoi.
The good news for Anubhav is that after Shahrukh, even Arjun is fast recovering from his back pain and his body may allow him to take-up this action-packed role. A source close to Arjun while confirming this said, “Arjun is recovering speedily and is all charged up to play the villain’s role in Ra 1.”
Everyone associated with the film must be hoping that the process of Arjun’s moving and out of the film is over and this time around, if he is back in the film again to play the role of lead negative character, he will be a part of the film till the end.

Lux soap has now roped in Katrina Kaif to endorse its products.
Hindustan Leaver, the company, which manufactures Lux soap has roped in Bollywood star Katrina Kaif to endorse its product.
Though, private companies and Bollywood stars coming together with the latter lending their name to promote a product is very common these days, Katrina endorsing Lux soap is really special and has a lot of significance in Bollywood.
You may recall that just a couple of months back, Lux had signed a big deal with Bollywood stars Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan, paying them a huge amount to endorse their product.
So, when the company had paid a big amount to the Bachchans for endorsing their product, why did they suddenly have to turn to Katrina and ask her to be the brand ambassador for Lux soap?
If sources are to be believed, Hindustan Leaver had to ask Katrina to endorse the product because contrary to their expectations, the advertisement featuring Aishwarya and Abhishek failed to evoke much response or increase the sales of their product in the market.
Now, if the plans to rope in Katrina Kaif to endorse Lux soap does help to increase the sales of the product, it will tend to prove the point that Katrina has not only overtaken the Bollywood leading ladies of the present day like Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra but her popularity is also more than one of the world’s most beautiful woman Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Bollywood stars Guru Dutt, Nargis, Meena Kumari, Amitabh Bachchan and Pran, have been listed as the most famous Asian star of all times.
In a list compiled by an international news and Television network ahead of the Oscar Awards, 5 Bollywood stars have been featured among the top cine stars from Asia. These stars, who have been named among the 25 most popular stars of Asia include Guru Dutt, Nargis, Meena Kumari, Amitabh Bachchan and Pran.
This last, which also contains cinema actor from Pakistan, China and Japan has maximum number of Bollywood stars.
What is interesting though is that rather than including these stars for the wide range of achievements that they have achieved in their long career, their name in most cases has been added to this list on the on the basis of specific performances.
The list includes Guru Dutt for his soulful performance in films like Pyaasa and Kaagaz Ke Phool, which made these films all time classics. The media unit has called the era of Guru Dutt as the golden era of Indian cinema.
Guru Dutt’s films not made him include in this powerful list but also made way for the inclusion of Meena Kumari into the list, who has been included for her performance in Guru Dutt’s Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam.
The media unit felt that if Meera Kumari gave a powerful performance in Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, so did Nargis Dutt in Mother India, who has been included in the list for her performance in the film.
Bolloywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has been named in the list for his powerful performance in Zanjeer, the film that made him famous not only among Bollywood fans but millions across the world.
The only exception was Pran, who made it to the list not for any individual performance but his work in Bollywood, expanding over six decades.
Undoubtedly those, who have made it to the list of the most famous Asian stars of all times are all big Bollywood stars and have made great contribution to not only Indian or Asian cinema but to the world cinema as a whole. Still, it is surprising to see a few names like Raj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar missing from the list.
