Rani Making Ash Insecure?
Nov 18, 2008 1 Comment »

Rani and Ash
Intellectuals say life takes a full circle and history repeats itself. The saying seems to be coming true for the Bachchans.
There was a time when Jaya Bachchan had sleepless nights due to the rumors of relation between Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Now, it seems the same insecurity that had engulfed Jaya Bachchan has now caught up with Aishwarya, the Bahu of Bachchan family, who has taken a promise from her hubby that he will not accept films with Rani Mukherjee.
Well, if Aishwarya is worried with regard to Abhishek-Rani relationship, its not purely out of insecurity. Irrespective of how much Abhishek loves Aishwarya, when it comes to profession, surely Rani holds a very significant place in Abhishek’s life. After all, Rani Mukherjee is the lucky mascot of Abhishek as both his films that have had the most successful run at the box office, Yuva and Bunty Aur Babli feature Rani Mukherjee in the lead role. In fact, movie lovers were so fascinated by their online chemistry that many felt they would also make a perfect real life couple as well.
That’s what seems to have scared Aish. But it seems that along with beauty, God has also blessed Aishwarya with some brain also. Scared with the reports about the closeness with Rani that made headlines before Abhiskek proposed to Aishwarya, the Bachchan Bahu has now ask her husband not to work with Rani. Insiders point out that the real story behind the recent refusal by Abhiskek to not do a cameo in a Yash Raj film is that his wife doesn’t want him to be a part of any project which concerns Rani Mukherjee also.
Hey Aish, what’s wrong with you? If Rani’s support is able to help your husband’s sinking acting career, you should rather encourage it and not discourage it in any way.

Bollywood IIFA awards to be held in Bangkok
May 28, 2008 No Comments »
The International Indian Films Awards (IIFA) are always happening in foreign countries. The last year it was Yorkshire and this year it’s Bangkok. Why Bankgkok? In this link Amitabh Bachchan, the brand ambassador of the IIFA says:
The idea is to move to different parts of the universe, to try and make this a global effort; to build bridges rather than just make this another awards ceremony.
Does India too belong to some part of the universe?
The link further says:
Director Karan Johar will host the IIFAs award ceremony. Actors Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Govinda are confirmed to attend. The highlight will be the premiere of Sarkar Raj, the Godfather remake, which reunites all three Bachchans – Amitabh, his son Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – after their last screen appearance in Bunty aur Babli.

Aishwarya Rai’s role shortened in ‘Sarkar Raj’
May 26, 2008 No Comments »
The sources say that Ram Gopal Verma has cut short Aishwarya Rai’s role in Sarkar Raaj because it was distracting the audiences away from the main theme of the film. After the marriage — Abhishek’s and Aishwarya’s, of course — the entire family minus mummiji is making an appearance. According to this link Sarkar Raj
is an intense political drama and is essentially a study of power; it explores the politics of development, and takes a fresh look at the tradition versus modernity debate. Ash is reportedly playing the character of a businesswoman who influences Abhishek’s aspirations in the movie.
