Kajol and Shahrukh Khan are pairing together again
May 27, 2008 No Comments »
One of the biggest romantic pairs in the recent Bollywood history are again coming together to work in Karan Johar’s (well, who else?) My Name Is Khan; yes, we’re doubtlessly talking about Kajol and Shahrukh Khan who have given some really memorable movies together to the Indian audiences like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai.
A source close to Ajay Devgan, Kajol’s husband, told the media
Kajol took a long time, to take a call on her participation in Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan, but the problem was that she had not heard the script in detail.
This week, she took a long look at the script and finally said ‘yes’. Karan and Kajol go back a long way. Their dosti is not only friendship but also respect for each other. Kajol could not have refused the film.

Bollywood blog wars?
May 26, 2008 No Comments »
The Indian mainstream media doesn’t know how to chill it seems. They can’t digest the fact that film celebrities are publishing their own blogs and now the fans won’t have to bear the half-false-half-true stories/interviews of magazine and newspapers journalists. Just like blogging empowers a commoner, it also empowers celebrities: they can directly interact with their fans. This article on the BBC website says there have been lots of gaffes by the Indian celebrities, but this is how blogging, and consequently conversation, becomes interesting. The Indian mainstream media should relax and accept that the information power they used to wield in the past no longer remains their sole domain.

Shahrukh Khan barred from attending Night Rider’s matches?
May 25, 2008 No Comments »
Since his presence was violating the ICC code, Shahrukh Khan has been told not to enter the dressing room of his players. Ever since the match-fixing scandals began hitting the headlines, the ICC strictly forbids non-players from entering the dressing room while the matching is going on.
The charges of corruption has really hurt Shahrukh Khan, emotionally, as he is known to be quite an upright and self-respecting person. He has decided to stay away from even attending the matches unless he is sure whether he likes the code of conduct or not. To make sure there is no miscommunication between his players and himself, he sent a long SMS to his entire team that goes like this:
I am still trying to understand the code of conduct expected of me at the matches of the IPL… ICC etc. After I understand it, I will decide whether to accept it or not. Till such time, I will be with you guys at the hotel, in the meeting, but will not come for the matches…
Please do not ever feel it is anything to do with us as a team. I am as dedicated to my Knights as I am to my kids. Only, I won’t be coming to the class room till the headmasters’ rules are understood by me. I am a bit anti-establishment kind of a guy, so I apologise for this quirk to you all…
Ignore all this bit about Dada, me and John having issues. It’s a normal thing in the world. People like to hit you when you are down… It will make us stronger. The only way to avoid this is to win…
Chin up and don’t spoil your character in the next two games. Let’s go out with a bang and not a whimper. In films, we say you are only as good as your last film. So let’s make the whole world know how good we are in the last two games.
